Need some advice on how to achieve a hairstyle? [picture]?

I have a picture here an I'm not sure how i can achieve that messy look, I have a fringe and my hair is also that length. Any tips and advice would be really helpful!

For the messy look, tousle you hair with a good wax of fibre putty and back comb it a little, crimp it in sections Straighten the fringe to get the sleek effect.
