Are the GHD IV Salon Stylers any good?

I have quite thick hair and i currently have FHI straighteners and looking to upgrade. Are the ghd wide plated ones any good? I know they are expensive so is it worth it? Thanks :) x

They are definitely worth it. I have very thick hair, and I only have to straighten once a day! They are just amazing!

• GHDs r some of the best straighteners u can buy. i have pink ones which r bout 4 years old and they r still going strong. my sis is getting the new ones (ive had a sneak peek as they r a present and they look even betta than mine!) i have really thick hair and it takes a wee bit longer 2 do them wit the medium thickness plates, but the medium size plates r more versatile as u can curl ur hair using them
• they are great. I have shoulder length, fairly curly hair and they are fantastic. They don't dry or damage it either. The really wide ones are harder to handle, but the mk1V (about 1" wide) are really versatile. don't waste your money on any other make.
• I have one, except it's not a thick plated one. It works really good and I have thick hair too
