ok there is several grades of hair.
standard hair its usually chinese or indian hair and is low quality.
standard hair is usually has the cuticle layer (this is what makes the hair smooth and shiney) stripped off in the manufacturing process and its then coated in silicone to replicate the cuticle.
the problem is tho after a few shampoo's - the silicone layer wears off and this is when the hair starts starts to tangle and no matter what shampoo or conditioner u use, it will still tangle.
remi/remy hair - this is hair which still has the cuticle on it and its cuticle correct. generally remy hair can be chinese or indian hair.
although its more expensive its worth it - remy hair wont tangle and it'll lst around 8-9 months if looked after properly.
standard hair will onli usually last around 3 months max.
there is also virgin hair - this tends to be russian or indian hair - its hair that has been cut off the persons hair and isn't processed in anyway.
however this is hair can cost up to several thousand pounds.
