How to do black streaks into red hair?

Resolved Question

How to do black streaks into red hair?

Ok, I have fairly bright red hair, I've been dying it this colour for a couple of months. Now I'd like to add black streaks to it, preferably this evening, ready for college. I have the black hair dye already (LIVE color xxl Deep Black), what else would I need? I know I should get it done professionally but I don't have the money since the hairdressers around here are quite expensive even for a wet cut! Any help provided is really appreciated =]

try measure even sections, easy to do with a rat tail comb cos you don't want really thick bits and thin bits. So that the streaks don't go onto the hair you don't want dying, use foil or something of that nature to wrap the streaks in as they dye.
Wash out carefully as the black can easily run into the red when washing out, ruining your red hair colour..the best way to do this is to spray water onto the steaked bits and try get as much excess dye off as possible by getting some toilet roll or cotton wool and scraping downwards. When the excess is off, wash as normal.

hope this helps =]
