Epilators?? Are they good? how long before regrowth?

Resolved Question

Epilators?? Are they good? how long before regrowth?

I wear a skirt for school and it is such a pain shaving my legs every day or two and then applying tan! Waxing is way to expensive for me so I was thinking about an epilator!

Do they actually work good? How often do you need to use it? Or an I just wasting my money??!

Also do they hurt really really bad! I waxed a few times and it wasn't too bad, but i heard that epilating is worse?

I recommend getting one, it's definitely worth it!

I find that epilating every few days (my average is probably 3 or 4) with a few touch ups every now and then is enough.

If the hair on the legs is blond then you don't have to worry too much about those hairs you occasionally miss.

There's also the fact that after about a year of epilation I've noticed that hair seems to grow back slower. Other people I know have said the same thing.

As for pain, I won't lie, it does hurt a little, but you get used to it pretty quickly.

  • I have one and I would thoroughly recommend getting one.

it really hurts the first time you do it but you get used to it. I epilate every other day mainly because the hairs grow back at different times so this just means I am hair free for longer.
They get all the little tiny hairs out so yes they do work well.

The best thing is they grow back finer each time you use it.

if you are really worried about pain, buy one that comes with attachable ice packs. These numb the area making it less painful.
I have been waxed too and I would say waxing is worse, epilating feels more like little pin pricks.
  • Don't waste your money. I've tried two of them and didn't have much luck other than getting a couple scars. But maybe there may be a better type of epilator on the market. Or you could get it done professionally. I know it is quite expensive but a sure fire way to have the hair removed forever. Or, you'll just have to stick with the old fashioned way and shave your legs. Try nair hair remover maybe that will last a bit longer time. Hopefully there is something new but I'm not familiar with much that is available now. Best of Luck
  • My ex did my chest with one & it hurt more than getting kicked in the nads.
