Hi,

Thanks!

if you are by any chance using something with a bleach in it (dye) and then relaxing it...it WILL cause your hair to fall out. avoid dying for a while and use lots of conditioner!!!!

  • If you're really concerned, visit a hairdresser. They'll tell you how healthy your hair is.

Otherwise, jut let it be. You won't be bald just from this. You can help your hair by washing it gently and combing/brushing your hair from the ends up. As in, don't start at the roots.
  • Mmm , Sounds Lke Ets Damaged .

Ets Probably Not Use To All THe Chemicals Tht Yur Puttin Et Through .

Go On Chill Mode , Let Et RELAX

    Hahahahah , Get Et :P

What his the best hair colour for 90% white Hair?

Resolved Question

What his the best hair colour for 90% white Hair?

I was wondering what i could put on my hair to give it a lift, any ideas.

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker

I would try platinum blonde, which will have minimal contrast. If you want some additional definition, you can add light or medium blonde lowlight.

Whats more attractive for girls: Long hair or short hair?

Resolved Question

Whats more attractive for girls: Long hair or short hair?

What do you think is more pretty and feminine? Long swishy hair down to your middle-back or shorter shoulder length hair? All my cousins back in libya have really long hair, one of my cousins has hair past her bum and she loves it! what do you think?

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker

long hair.
its more feminine.
my hair is just past my chest and i LOVE it.
also its seen as if boys have short hair and girls long.
so i know a lot of my guy friends think long hair is attractive.

  • It all depends on what the person in question suits depending on face shape hair thickness and even weight in my opinion I love long hair but gets annoying if its too long i have shoulder length hair i want nothing more than to hav hair past my boobs lol but then again at times i love mi short hair lol but also it can all depend on what the fasion is at the time but for me i would prefer longish hair.
  • Long.

Your cousin's hair is wonderful. I'd love to see it. Maybe I should go to Libya for my holidays?

A lot of the others take the hairdresser's line about framing the face. Long hair frames the body, so you need to picture it flowing over your curves and into the small of the back, and if you are lucky enough to be your cousin, around the hips too. Long hair is very tactile and wonderful to feel over your arms.

You don't see it much here in England. You can go a whole day and not see any girl with long hair. Maybe they just can't grow it here? Maybe they just won't?
  • Long hair is definately "prettier" but short hair is still "cute".
I also agree with some down below. It does depend on the shape of the face as well.
If you have a more fuller or rounder face, you should not go with a shorter look because its going to draw more attention to a rounder face.
  • As Dance K said, depends on the shape of your face - good bone structure then go for short and I think on your height if you're short long hair can make you seem shorter.

Long hair is always associate with femininity (although Samson might have disagreed) so might be seen as prettier.
  • personally i think if you have quite thick hair which is either straight or curly it looks so nice long, and long hair makes you feel more confordent i think

on the other hand some people have georgeous short hair

it just depends on what suits you and your face shape ect .
  • It really depends on your face shape. on some people, long hair is really sexy & feminine, but if you have a short squattish face, you'd just look young. Short hair looks good on some people too, but it also makes you look young.
  • I personally think cute little pixie cuts are feminine and adorable,
but long hair is still very gorgeous and lady like! :)

Boys seem to think that long hair is sexy too!

    Answer mine? :)
    http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;…
  • I feel more attractive when I have shorter hair (I've even had crops before!), but a lot of girls seem to prefer longer hair.

Whatever suits you best is what makes you most attractive
  • It depends on you face shape if you have long of oval long hair looks best and if you have round or square short is best!
  • that depends on the person, some are so sexy with long hair and some are just as sexy with short hair, just depends on who can carry off what style. thats all.
  • yea it depends on your face shape.

    Source(s):

  • I think longer hair look more femine but I LOVEEE short hair :)
  • it depends on the shape of your face and length of your neck
  • Short ;)
  • Long hair
  • depends on the shape of your face i think...

Is it a bad idea to dye your hair when it's straight?

Resolved Question

Is it a bad idea to dye your hair when it's straight?

i dont mean chemically permanently straightened, just with normal straighteners.

I was just wondering this because i assume when hair is in a straightened style the hair's cuticles will be laying flatter than normal wont they?
Is there the possibility that this would make it harder for the colour to get into the hair than it would in its in its natural state?

Just a thought.............

Nope, the coloring process will open up your cuticles xx

I want to dye my hair platinum blonde with black underneath?

Resolved Question

I want to dye my hair platinum blonde with black underneath?

Currently dark brown. My hair was naturally red so the brown dye still has red in it when the light hits it.
Can someone tell me how I could do this myself? I know a little already about bleaching my hair. Can someone tell me a good bleach, developer and toner and what I should be doing with it and how long to keep it on for? And how to go about putting the black in? Should I only bleach the top of my hair and then dye the underneath black or go all blonde first then put the black in?

Thanks.

Btw I'm only CONSIDERING doing this myself, and I probably won't do it for another while yet. Might just save up and get it done professionally next year, I'm just interested in how it's done.

Additional Details

Please don't tell me it's trashy or slutty or any of that crap. It isn't. Only if you act like one
I'm going to do it anyway, I want a change.

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker

That sounds like a really cute idea! I would leave the bleach on the top half of your hair for approximately 35 minutes. Then the black dye for about 20. The bleach will really damage your hair by the way. So be prepared for split ends because your hair is really dark now. I wouldn't be too worried about it though. After wards you can like do some repair masks and go easy on the heat products and use heat tamer spray.

  • If i were you I would definitely get it done professionally. It's not worth accidently leaving bleach in too long and having it go white. I will tell you that I've seen someone with their hair like that and I wouldn't call it trashy, it just looks lopsided. But that's just with that person, it could be different with different hairstyles. I will tell ya, golden brown is the best hair colour :P
  • hi sweet, id definatly get it done proffesionally, theres loads of different ways of doing, id probably section it out into 2 sects do lots of really thick chuncky highlights on top, then fully cover the underneath section, separating the two sections with a strip of foil x
  • do it seperately, brown u derneth hen blond on top, dont do it all blond first coz tht wil damage ur hair.
it wont look trashy dont lisen to them.
  • ewww please dont its so trashy
chocolate brown is the best colour to be :)
  • nice go for it

  • Make sure you really think it through before you dye your hair black. It takes a toll on your hair and is hard to dye it back to another color if you decide you don't like it. Maybe you should sit down with your mom and tell her what your reasoning for wanting to dye your hair comes from. Maybe you could compromise at first and try a wash out black hair color so she can adjust to the idea of you dying your hair that severly. If you think you can't talk to her, write down the reasons for wanting to dye your hair and you may find you might be following that trend just a little. Good luck.
  • SHAKE THE CRAP OUT OF HER AND YELL IT TO HER.... i hate being called a normal girl im freggingoing emo when i get my freggin hair in the right freggin postision but just tell her that she need to freggin stop callin you emo and it freggin pisses you off

    Source(s):

  • What do you think emo is?
It's generally stereotyped with black hair, skinny jeans, and graphic tees/accessories.
    So your mum isn't nuts.
    Not all emos cut.
Emo is a style these days.
And I'm sorry, but you sound like you fit in that category.
  • try tempo dye and say just for fun. also tell her that she might want to look up the defonition of the word emo.
  • Perhaps she'd find it easier to believe you if you stopped acting like one.

I'm 18 and I've found a grey hair on my head!?

Resolved Question

I'm 18 and I've found a grey hair on my head!?

I've found a grey hair on the top of my head. I pulled it straight out, however I've found these hairs before and they always seem to appear in the same place; on the top of my head.
I'm only 18 so surely I can't be going grey, and its only the odd hair, so if I was going grey I'd expect all my hair to be the same colour, or at least more strands of it.

The weird thing is, everytime I notice these hairs there seems to be about a month or two of grey growth on the strand, so I wonder how I don't notice them sooner. Or maybe they grow very suddenly.

I dye my hair if thats any help. Its a kind of red colour at the moment but naturally its dark brown, and I haven't bleached it.

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker

I don't want to scare you, but its totally possible for you to be going grey already at 18. It has to do with your genes, and of course stress. My mom started going grey at 20 and has been full on dying her roots since then to cover it up. But just because my mom greyed prematurely doesnt mean I will, and just because your mom/dad/whoever may not have doesnt mean you wont. just relax, everyone goes grey sometime. If you dye your hair you already have to keep up with your roots so I wouldnt worry about it. Unless you are noticing more and more greys each time, I would think its probably just one or two from stress, no big deal, just pull them out of cover them with dye.

Other Answers (6)

  • It is natural, and as far as I know grey hair does not dye very well and grey will show up within any other colour, (sorry) have you thought of having pale streaks that way it would mask any grey because it will get lost in the streaks in the hair style

    just an option
  • Well, many people get grey hair at young ages, and you might be one of them. Either the dying of your hair or when its the time of month could unbalance something. That could be why you dont notice them often, as if they just appear.
dont worry about it, its a fact of life :)
  • I've had the same problem since i was 11 years old.. glad i am not on my own!
I think it's some kind of pigmentation problem.. (I have curly black hair)
Don't worry about it I don't find it noticeable
It could also be a reaction to the hair dye
  • sorry to tell you, but you very well could be going grey

a surprising amount of people actually start finding grey hairs at 16

if people in your family starting getting gre hairs early, you likely will too
  • Don't dye your hair. It ruins your hair cells therefore you get grey hair
  • You're in good company. Read "The Catcher In the Rye"

A very personal question?

when you girls have sexual intercourse with your guys, what do you do with the down bellow hair? trim it? shave it? wax it? etc.

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker

Shave very gently you will get very smooth but you have to do this 3 days since it grows back fast. After I shave I use a little lotion so It dosen't itch and stays smoother.

  • shavee, its too hard for me to wax right, and i don't like getting razor burn so, to prevent that you should get a guys electrical razor, use that first and then if anythings left, shave carefully, and like its SOO smooth :D haha

    Source(s):

  • Waxing is best. If you shave, it will go prickly, and if you shave the hair too much you get a rash, sore, red oh and itchy.

When you've waxed, if there are any stray hairs, trim um with whatever or shave the area gently.
  • I shave mine all off but I want to start waxing cause it looks more clean and smooth.
  • I usually shave my genital area bald once a month.

We both enjoy the effects of me being hair-free.
  • I shave it. All of it! I don't want any stray hairs ending up anywhere they shouldn't be ;)
  • Wax
  • trim it
  • Shave it.

Hair Product Trade Suppliers?

Resolved Question

Hair Product Trade Suppliers?

Can anyone give me details of where to find trade suppliers for hair products such as Matrix and Tigi etc. I was wondering how hair salons etc find their suppliers!?

Thanks

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker

it depends where u live...

ranges such as paul mitchell and GHD, l'oreal can only be got directly from them.

however, TIGI, matrix, fudge, wella can be found in various suppliers in the UK.... Capital hair and beauty sell TIGI and fudge in store and some selected stores sell Matrix....
http://www.capitalhairandbeauty.co.uk

Sally's hair and beauty is nationiwde... but they don't tend to sell the bigger brands....
http://www.sallybeautyholdings.com/holdi…

Salon Supplies deliver nationwide i think, but they are based in Rustington, West Sussex - they sell matrix, they have it exclusively in West Sussex.
http://www.salonsupplies.co.uk/

aston and fincher also sell TIGI etc however they tend to be based more in the midlands - northampton way etc.
http://www.astonandfincher.co.uk/

REMEMBER THOUGH...
TO SHOP AT CAPITAL, SALON SUPPLIES OR ASTON FINCHER YOU NEED TO IN THE TRADE - you can be a trainee/student or fully qualified to get a trade card but u must be able to prove that u are training/qualified.

Sally's - they sell to the public at full retail price, to get trade price you need to get a sally's card which again u can only get if ur trainee/qualified hairdresser/nail tech/beautician

  • the Sally's by me doesn't sell matrix, but aston and fincher in bristol are the only ones allowed to sell tigi and matrix. However i think in all cases, to by tigi at Trade price from suppliers, you need to be a registered tigi salon. xx

    Source(s):

  • Sally salon services sell matrix products. They also have trade only stores which sell tigi, but you do need a card to enter the trade only stores.

If you wash your hair everyday does it damage it?

Resolved Question

If you wash your hair everyday does it damage it?

Someone told me that if you wash it everyday it damages it? Is this true because I know some people who can go without washing their hair for a day or to and it still looks clean but I can't go a day without washing it because it feels dirty and greasy so I was it every morning. Does it damage it?

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker

Everyone's hair is different so, it wouldn't nessecarily damage it. If it is greasy then you should wash it. I used to wash my hair every day because it was greasy, now I only have to do it every 3 or 4 days. Part of this is I am 26 now and not a teenager, the other part is I used to wash my hair till it was super squeaky clean, so actually it natually tried to re-oil itself and was greasy the next day. now I just shampoo once with a small amount of shampoo, it feels wierd to start with, kind of not 100% clean but this is because you haven't washed out all of the natural oils which is good.

Other Answers (7)

  • Hi. I've been washing my hair every day for 25 years and it hasn't done me any harm. I had very greasy hair as a teenager, my hair is very fine so it got greasy quickly so I had to wash it every day or I didn't feel comfortable. I can't imagine going one day without washing my hair. But, you need to treat it gently. Use a gentle shampoo. Massage gently, rinse through and pat dry. Use a conditioner once a week or more if you need it, just to help maintain the condition of your hair and have regular trims. Good luck !
  • if you wash it every day, you can prevent the oils in your hair from protecting and nourishing it naturally, no matter how much conditioner you use, your hair will still look dry as the natural oils will not have time to take effect. it is best to wash your hair every 2-3 days unless it is extremely greasy.
  • it does damage it, decreases the natural oils in you hair. can cause a number of problems, dry scalp, dry hair, excessive oil production making up for the loss of natural oils. you get use to washing it every day and without it it does feels yucky but if you just go and start every two days you will get use to it and will be fine.
  • Yes, washing your hair daily can dry it.

If your hair feels greasy after a day, try sprinkling baby powder on your roots to absorb the extra oil.

Another option is dry shampoo. Spray it on your roots to absorb the extra oil and freshen your hair.

    Source(s):

  • It shouldn't, only if you dry it with a hair dryer everyday, then it probably does. But i have a shower in the evening/afternoon and just let it dry naturally.

I cant go a day without washing my hair because it gets so greasy and horrible
  • You have natural oils in your hair and if you wash it everyday, it strips this away which can either make your hair really oily, as you start to produce more or it makes it dry, really you should wash your hair every other day.

Home hair disaster...what can i do?

Resolved Question

Home hair disaster...what can i do?

I have been dying my hair at home for years now and everything had been fine. Then I (stupidly) tried a new colour which turned my hair orange. I then dyed it again to a dark brown and was left with some hair black and the rest orange.

I didn't want to make it any worse so I went to the hair dressers who said stripper would be too harsh and to dye it again using a brown and hopefully it will even it out.

I did this and now the top of my hair is a brown colour and the rest is black (even though i didn't use a black hair dye). I don't know what to do, I keep washing my hair using head and shoulders as I heard this fades it. I don't want to dye my hair again as I have dyed it 3 times in 48 hours!

I am giving my hair a break from it all but will the dark brown and brown hair dye fade after a week or so?? Or will it stay black? Just to point out again I haven't used a black dye!

It was permanent colour although all of the other permanent colours never last long on me!

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker

Are they all permanent? After about a week the intensity of the colour will fade but you'll still be left with one part of your hair being slightly darker as whilst the black will fade, the brown is likely to as well. Two things you can do really - You could use semi's until it has faded enough to dye it all one colour again, semi's are actually very good for your hair so won't be doing it any lasting damage. You could just keep that topped up whilst the permanent colour is fading. You could always just try and dye the lighter part of your hair and miss out the darker part to even it out that way. If you put a colour stripper on your hair then as you know it'll become really fragile. Another thing you can do is ask your hairdresser about the colour wheel thing because using a dye which is heavy on one colour cancels out any excess of any other. Green/ash based dyes for example cancel out any red if your hair goes red quite easily when dyed.

Don't know how helpful that is but hope you get it sorted! I did something similar to my hair once but it was with a semi, washed it about 10-11 times in a row and after a few days it faded to quite a nice colour. Don't panic too much though, it'll be a lot less dramatic in a week or two :)

Hair help!? Do the aussie products work?

I have very fine dark brown hair which is shoulder length/just longer.
I straighten it every day and dont dye it and I want to grow it about another 3 inches but it is very dry and i get split ends alot so keep having to cut it :/

My hairdresser recomended the aussie products and i was wondering if they work? Im trying to cut back on straightening but its become abit of an addiction haha

so have you tried the aussie products and do they work? do you have any hair growing or hair repair tips??

thank you x :)

Yes they are really good !
which is a surprise when you consider how inexpensive they are!

The 3 minute miracle hair mask is AMAZING it smell gorgeous and it really improves your hair's condition and softness.

you just put it on after shampooing, as you would a normal conditioner, but you leave it in for a while (i then go in the sauna, the warmth really allows it to penetrate my hair!)

then just rinse out!

My hair became really dry due to dyeing it. Seriously, it was so bad i couldn't even straighten it because it would just become crispy! ugh it was horrible!
So i made my self refrain from straightening my hair (i actually put away my straighteners so i couldn't see them!)
And i just simply left my hair alone. When i washed it i used the Aussie 3 minute miracle the way i described above and at least a month and a half later became so soft, and i could straighten it again!
I went to a salon for a tidy up on the ends and now my hair is back to normal again!

When straightening your hair use Aussie Dual Personality Heat Protection spray

Again - another fantastic Aussie product!

seriously, i cant praise them enough! I wont use anything else!

  • they work like a treat.
smell great and make your hair really soft and nice

try and stop straightening, i bet you hair looks really nice without having to effectively cook your hair.

wash it every other day to stop it drying out.

my fav aussie product is the FRIZZ MIRACLE
    CONDITIONER, LUSCIOUS LONG
    SHAMPOO, MIRACLE MOIST
    SHAMPOO and the DUAL PERSONALITY
    MIRACLE MOIST
    'SMOOTH & SHINE' MILK

  • Yes Aussie products are brilliant, I occasionally use them when my hair is a bit bad, you know when I can't afford a haircut just yet.

They are very good, keep my hair looking good and healthy and smell lovely too.

And you can get them anywhere too, like Pound shops, wilkinsons, etc which you save money to buy a couple more.

  • i think about 2-3.
when i got my hair highlighted she give me a board with all the different blondes i could have, so i chose two different ones to have.
maybe that will happen when you get yours done.
  • I'd say about 4
    slightly bleached blonde
    golden blonde
    caramel,
    light golden brown..x

Need help on hair extensions..?

Resolved Question

Need help on hair extensions..?

I'm looking to get hair extensions because my hair is being damaged from all the straightening i do to it, so by getting extensions i will hopefully have more to do with my hair that doesn't involve using heat although i want to be able to use heat on them for when im going out on a special occasion.
I want weave/sew in extensions but the thing is, i haven't got all the information i need.
I don't want to go to a salon to get them done because it will cost too much money, my sister is good with hair so hopefully she will be able to do it for me.
My questions are :
Where can i buy extensions that are used to weave/sew in NOT clip in and in the UK but are inexpensive?
Is it ok and easy enough if i have someone do it for me at home?
Can i wash my hair like normal with them?
How long do they last?
thanks.

First of all sew in and weave extensions are nasty. They begin to stink, mat, and they are VERY bad for your hair. They also do not look very natural. (whats the point of having a weave that doesn't look natural?) If you want extensions I would suggest that you get something called "fusion". Not the hot fusion but the lock fusion. I got this and it looked great. YOu can keep it in your hair for up to six months when you take the hair and bead out to reajjust them. You can wash your hair, style it, go swimming with it and wear it naturally. It's great and no one can tell that you have fusion. Go to the site

This guy is in the U.S. but you can always but the supplies yourself and ask someone to put them in for you. My mother put them in for me (having never done anything like it before) and it came out looking professional. Buy human hair the locks, the crimper and the slide and your set.

P.S. PLEASE DO NOT get regular hair extensions. They are tacky, cheap and after a while stops looking good.

  • the best hair extensions to have are great length extensions. they are expensive but are the best to have. you can wah them, color them, etc. sew in extensions make your hair itch really bad. But the glue in ones will last but not that long.
