Black hair dye causing my hair loss?

Resolved Question

Black hair dye causing my hair loss?

About a month and a half ago I used Schwarzkopf permanent Black XXL Hair dye and since then my hair has been shedding like mad.

The floorboards under my bed and my duvet and pillow cases are literally covered in my hair, and when I shower my hands are covered in my head hair when I wash my hair. I'm only 22 and it's quite worrying.

Can anyone please offer me any advice on what to do?

This happens to me whenever i dye my hair a dark color. It's probably just more noticeable because it's so dark. It's been a month and a half, does your hair seem thinner or are you just noticing a lot of it? if it doesn't seem thinner, i would not worry, you probably just never noticed it as much before, plus, people shed, just like animals.

  • Try using a nourishing shampoo or hair masque, with added vitamins, and take a daily vitamin high in vitamin B yourself and you can take some folic acid or flaxseed oil too, don't worry about using color protecting shampoo, Try a nourishing treatment by Ion and wear your hair down, using a hair elastic can be straining on delicate hair. Stay away from products that dry the hair; like shampoos and conditioners for 'oily' hair, you want your hair to be as moisturized as possible.
  • i have also noticed this i am 21 and died my hair black last week but i used a different brand tha you. i have died my hair black so many times and never noticed this before. i am really worried about it aswell but my hair doesnt seem to be getting any thinner so i dont know what to do.
  • Hair dyes damage your hair very very badly as they contain ammonia and other harmful chemicals.
    To stop hair fall, follow a very healthy diet full of fresh fruits and vegetables and very protein rich.
    Wash your hair with an anti-hairfall shampoo followed by an anti-hairfall conditioner.
  • get the right hair color
  • year ago I suffered very much from dandruff and hair loss too and I started trying everything you can imagine to stop my hair loss.
    the things that really worked for me was:

    1) Vitamin A - an anti-oxidant which promotes healthy production of sebum in the scalp;

    2) Vitamin E stimulates circulation. Good blood circulation in the scalp is important in keeping hair follicles productive. The 'B' vitamins contribute to melanin, which gives hair its healthy color and also stimulates blood circulation;

    3) massage is also beneficial. Massage stimulates circulation. As already noted, good circulation in the scalp keeps hair follicles active. Experts suggest a few minutes of daily head massage by hand. Circulation through massage may be improved by using a few drops of lavender or bay essential oil in an almond or sesame oil base with massage;

    4) Try rubbing your scalp with garlic juice, Onion Juice or Ginger Juice(you can either of one out of three, Do not mix any of two or three);

    5) also I used herbal treatment - Provilluss (do not use Rogaine - it can cause unwanted hair growth elsewhere on the body)
    It is a good products that helps prevent hair loss and contains Biotin and the clinically tested ingredients approved by the FDA to help re-grow your hair. I think it is very important!

    It worked and still works for me!
